As many of you know March Madness is just about my all time favorite time of year. This year I’ve decided to combine my all time favorite time of year with a great cause. I know many of you will be frantically filling out brackets between March 13th and March17th and then put your money on the line to back up your picks only to be dooped in the first round by the usual upsets. This is why I have created a pool where half of all of the money on the line will go to Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund and the other half will be split between the top 2 finishers.

Here are the rules for this pool:
1. Entry fee is $10.
2. This pool will be run through CBSSports.com.
3. The pool password is DFMC2011
4. Don’t forget to indicate your prediction of the total number of points that will be scored in the final “National Championship” game in the space provided (this will serve as a tiebreaker, if necessary).
5. Submit $10 to Kate Adams by noon, Thursday, March 17th.
6. Half of funds earned from the pool will be donated to Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund and will go directly to Kate’s Marathon fund.
7. Points are awarded as follows:
• 1 point for each 1st round winning selection
• 2 points for each 2nd round winning selection
• 4 points for each 3rd round winning selection
• 6 points for each 4th round winning selection
• 8 points for each 5th round winning selection
• 12 points for 6th round winning selection (national championship game)
8. Winners will split pool as follows:
•50% to Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund
• 35% of pool to 1st place finisher
•15% of pool to 2nd place finisher
